Los Angeles, CA. (May 10, 2024). Renowned multi-platinum producer Cricket continues to build on what has already been a remarkable 2024. Following the release of his singles “Polvo Rosa” and “Sin Ti,” today he returns with a new hit, “Tu Preferido” featuring KG and Ryan Vizcaíno.
A melodically and lyrically romantic track, “Tu Preferido” is a corrido that speaks to the deep yearning we can feel when we’re separated from the one we love, watching that person move on while knowing that we still are the perfect match for them. The song showcases once again the impeccable production that Cricket has become recognized for, fusing Banda with mariachi and incorporating mariachero and Banda trumpets, trombones, corrido guitars, tololoche, and charchetas, and varying the tempo from the beginning to the end of the song to mirror his own musical journey. With these thoughtful arrangement choices, Cricket demonstrates his dedication to honoring his Mexican roots in his compositions, while also highlighting the unmistakable vocal talents of both Ryan V and KG.
