Mariana Montes
Mariana Montes, (born September 27th, 1988) is a Mexican actress. Brought up in Mexico City, Mariana studied drama from childhood and began her career in Theater in 2000. Since then Monte’s has been part of a numerous acclaimed stage productions such as “LA ILUSION” directed by Mauricio Garcia Lozano, Café-Deskfeinado directed by Anton Araiza and “Tartufo” directed by Juan Jose Tagle among others. She achieved recognition for her subsequent work and her naturalism caught the attention of directors and producers.
At the age of 18 she attend a 3 years conservatory training program at CasAzul Artes Escenicas Argos . She got accepted after a long process of auditions and preliminary tests. Upon graduation Mariana moved to Los Angeles to continue her artistic preparation. She studied “The Method”; Strasberg’s acting technique with Catheleen Leslie a lifetime member of the Actor’s Studio. Acting for the camera, script and scene analysis with Michelle Danner at Edgemar Center for the Arts.
In L.A she has performed with the Promenade Players Company, No weapon Productions and most recently she landed her first lead role in the stage production of “LADY NITWIT” by Lope de Vega directed by acclaimed stage director Margarita Galban, with great success this production was stage at the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts.
She made her film debut in NAVIDAD (2014) directed by Florencia Davidzon and produced by Orale Production, LLC. Currently Mariana is working on her first lead role in the film LA CLAVE directed by Patricia Cardoso * and written by Josefina Lopez* (Real women have curves 2000). She is a member at Medea’s Kids Theater Company and currently rehearsing for the upcoming play Spring’s Awakening that will be part of the Los Angeles Theater Festival next June.
